We are in the final software testing stage for the membership redemption portal and would like to inform you that there will be a slight delay in the email update to our members on how you can redeem the CHI monthly memberships and personal training sessions.

The team is working towards sending the above email by latest 1 July 2017. The redemption information will also be posted on True Fitness Malaysia website once available. Rest assured that the redemption start date (i.e. 3 July 2017) for CHI Fitness monthly memberships and personal training sessions remain unchanged.

Please find below a Notice regarding the arrangement between True Fitness Malaysia and CHI Fitness. We hope that this will help address your concerns regarding your memberships and we seek your kind understanding to approach CHI Fitness only after 3 July 2017. Thank you.

14 June 2017 - Notice Update – Membership Redemption at CHI Fitness

  1. Clarification on the Relationship between True Fitness Malaysia & CHI Fitness.

    True Fitness Malaysia will be purchasing monthly memberships and personal training sessions from CHI Fitness. We will like to clarify that there is no exclusive contract between True Fitness Malaysia and CHI Fitness, and hence would like to dismiss all assumptions and claims made by anyone that CHI Fitness will be taking over and honouring all contracts of the remaining True Fitness Malaysia memberships and personal training sessions. Under no circumstances will CHI Fitness be liable or be responsible to fulfil any valid / unexpired terms of True Fitness Malaysia’s memberships and / or personal training sessions with True Fitness.

    With the purchase of monthly memberships and personal training sessions from CHI Fitness, members of True Fitness Malaysia can proceed to redeem these one (1) month memberships and / or personal training sessions, until 2 July 2019.

    True Fitness will be purchasing these monthly memberships and personal training sessions from CHI Fitness in batches. As a start, a bulk of 2,000 months of the one (1) month memberships and 1,600 personal training sessions will be purchased, with subsequent purchases to be made when the above quantity runs low.

  2. How can these monthly memberships and personal training sessions be redeemed and is there a cap to the number of members who can make these redemptions each month?

    A Redemption Website will be set up by True Fitness for this process. Members of True Fitness Malaysia can logon to redeem their monthly CHI Fitness membership and personal training sessions. Once done, members will receive their respective redemptions in the form of CHI Fitness monthly membership or personal training vouchers. These vouchers will contain unique codes and True Fitness Members are not allowed to duplicate these vouchers for redemption.

    There is no cap to the number of members who can make these redemptions each month. True Fitness Malaysia will use this Redemption Website to keep track of the number of vouchers redeemed, so as to purchase more vouchers from CHI Fitness when required. This will continue for 24 months (2 years), until July 2019. By use of the Redemption Website, True Fitness Members agree and consent that their personal details shall be transferred to CHI Fitness for their use. Members also agree that they will be subjected to CHI Fitness’s terms and conditions of redemption, use and entry.

    We will be sending out guidelines as to how True Fitness Malaysia Members can redeem these CHI monthly memberships and personal training vouchers on 22 June 2017. This will be sent via email, with an update / guide also made available on this web page. The web link to this Redemption Website will also be made available in the guide.

    This Redemption Website will commence on 3 July 2017. True Fitness Malaysia Members can start redemptions from this date. We once again request all True Fitness Malaysia Members to refrain from approaching or contacting any CHI Fitness centres until they have obtained their own monthly memberships and personal training vouchers.

  3. As an overview; how does the Redemption Website work?

    Step 1: Members of True Fitness Malaysia will need to log onto this Redemption Website using their True Fitness Membership No. and registered identity card no.

    Once logged in, they will be able to see their membership details, including the expiry date of their current True Fitness membership and number of personal training sessions left.

    Step 2: Members will then need to select the CHI Centre they would like to access and the start date for their monthly membership accordingly. Please be informed that only one (1) month membership can be redeemed during each redemption process.

    True Fitness Malaysia members with personal training sessions can also use this same Redemption Website to redeem their Personal Training sessions. Members must first complete the above 2 steps to redeem a month of membership, after which they can then select the Personal Training options. Up to a maximum of four (4) personal training sessions can be claimed each month.

    Once redemptions have been made, members will receive a confirmation in the form of unique vouchers. These unique vouchers are to be presented at their selected CHI Centre. These vouchers shall not be duplicated and/or can only be redeemed a single time. By redeeming the vouchers, Members also agree that they will be subjected to CHI Fitness’ terms and conditions of redemption, use and entry, and that CHI Fitness’ decision(s) shall be final and conclusive.

    For members with Personal Training sessions, the separate Personal Training vouchers are to be presented at the Personal Training Department of the same CHI Fitness centre selected. All coordination on date and time of sessions will be left between Members and the Fitness Managers.

    Members will need to continue logging on to the Redemption Website on a monthly basis to redeem their monthly membership and personal training vouchers, until they have reached the expiry date of their membership or have utilize all sessions. This Redemption Website will only be made available until 2 July 2019. CHI Fitness shall only honour valid unique vouchers purchased by True Fitness Malaysia, and properly redeemed by True Fitness Malaysia members until 2 July 2019. CHI Fitness shall not be liable to satisfy the redemption of any unique vouchers after 3 July 2019.

    To note:

    1. Each redemption entitles a True Fitness Malaysia Member to a one (1) month membership and a maximum of four (4) personal training sessions at CHI Fitness.

    2. Members can only redeem the following month’s membership voucher after their current voucher has expired. For Example:
      Validity of current Chi Fitness Membership Voucher: 10 July 2017 – 9 August 2017.
      Member can only log into the Redemption Website to redeem his/her next one month voucher on 10 August 2017.

    3. Once redemptions are submitted, members will need to print the one (1) month and/or Personal Training unique voucher(s) and proceed to their selected CHI Fitness Centre.

    4. One-month memberships are strictly on a one-club access basis. It does not allow all-club access at CHI Fitness. Members can only access the CHI Fitness centre that was selected during redemption. They can only opt for another CHI Fitness centre when redeeming their next one month membership voucher.

    5. Members can only redeem for personal training sessions vouchers after they have selected to redeem a monthly membership. Member can only utilize the personal training vouchers at the same CHI Fitness centre as the one they had selected for their monthly membership voucher.

    6. All unique vouchers are non-refundable and not exchangeable for cash at CHI Fitness

    7. All True Fitness Malaysia members shall be subjected to CHI Fitness’ terms and conditions of use, redemption and entry. Any CHI Fitness decision arising therefrom shall be accepted by the unique voucher holder as final and conclusive.

  4. Which True Fitness Memberships are entitled to redeem this CHI Fitness Membership and Personal Training vouchers?

    The redemption of CHI Fitness monthly membership and personal training vouchers can only be made via the Redemption Website by the following membership types:

    1. Fixed Term / Pre-Paid Memberships

    2. VIP Black Card

    3. Founder Memberships

    4. Members with Personal Training Sessions

    Please note that redemptions will only be applicable subject to a members’ membership being valid / yet to expire.

  5. True Fitness Malaysia Members on a monthly dues / charged monthly membership. What will happen to these memberships?

    All True Fitness monthly dues memberships are automatically terminated. There will be no further billings for these accounts.

  6. 1) Will Founder Members from other countries (apart from Malaysia) be entitled to redeem CHI Fitness one month membership and personal training vouchers?

    No, redemption of CHI Fitness monthly membership and personal training vouchers can only be redeemed by members that have purchased a membership in True Fitness Malaysia.

    Founder Members that have opted to transfer their membership to True Fitness Singapore will also not be able to redeem CHI Fitness one month membership and personal training vouchers once the transfer process has been completed.

Dear Members,

Kindly be informed that Membership and Personal Training Redemptions can only be redeemed at CHI Fitness from 3 July 2017 onwards.

We will communicate to all Members by 20 June 2017 on the procedures for Membership and Personal Training redemption.

In the meantime, we seek the kind understanding from members not to proceed to or contact to any CHI Fitness Centre until 3 July 2017.

Dear Members,

It is with deep regret that we announce the closure of our operations in Malaysia. All True Fitness and True Spa centres in Malaysia will cease operations on 10 June 2017.

Thanks to members like yourselves, we’ve been able to build a strong community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about wellness and health, and we value the support you’ve shown us. However, the past few years have proved challenging, and unfortunately the businesses are no longer financially viable due to evolving market conditions.

We know many of you will be concerned about finding another fitness centre and have been working to find alternatives for you to continue your membership months and personal training sessions. Arrangements have been made with Chi Fitness for you to continue with your fitness regime with them.

True Fitness members in Malaysia will have access to all Chi clubs except those located in Bangsar, Bangsar South (Nexus) and the Northern Clubs. Under the arrangement, True Fitness has purchased memberships for members to redeem and personal training sessions to be utilised at Chi Fitness. Redemptions can be completed online. We will be sharing further details on the mechanics for redemption at a later date. Redemptions at Chi Fitness centres will only commence on 3 July 2017. More details of this fitness provider can be found on their official website at chi-fitness.com.

The validity of these redemptions for membership months and personal training will be for 24 months from 3 July 2017 or until all membership months and personal training sessions have been utilised. We are unable to refund in cash the unused portions of your membership months or personal training sessions.

All terms of redemptions have been set by True Fitness Malaysia. We regret that Chi Fitness will not be able to facilitate service redemption queries. If you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, please contact our customer service at malaysia@truefitness.com.sg. Our customer service representatives will not be present at Chi Fitness.

As for True Spa, we are looking for a reputable service provider to service your un-utilised sessions. We will be getting in touch with our affected members when we have more details.

We apologise for any inconveniences caused as a result of the closure of the clubs and would like to thank you for your past support.
